The area offers a variety of urban and suburban routes, including the growth of the Chronovélo network with its direct, comfortable, and secure pathways separated from vehicle traffic.

Grenoble was among the first cities to introduce a bike rental system, M vélo+, which now extends throughout the Grenoble area. This service offers short- and long-term rentals in multiple municipalities, with over 10,000 bikes, making it the largest rental fleet in France. The expansion of stations and the availability of different bike types—electric, foldable, and cargo—add to its appeal.

For your events, M vélo+ provides free bike rack rentals, accommodating up to 900 spaces, along with bike fleets available for rent.

HIGH-PERFORMANCE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

Grenoble Alpes boasts an extensive public transportation network, a major asset for organizing professional events in the region.

As a pioneer in the field, introducing the tramway as early as 1987, Grenoble’s public transport network has continually expanded, grown denser, and modernized, featuring electric or low-emission vehicles and initiatives like extended hours for key routes and attractive pricing to encourage public transit use.

A new milestone was reached in September 2024 with the launch of M réso. This new public transportation network enables seamless travel across the entire Grenoble area, from the metropolitan center to Grésivaudan and Pays Voironnais, with 5 tram lines and over 80 bus and coach routes covering the region.

Convenient for visitors, this network allows for faster, farther, and later travel, with 100% of conference centers accessible by tram and over 90% of hotels and tourist residences located near a station.

For your professional events, the Convention Bureau and the Grenoble Area Mobility Joint Association (SMMAG - Syndicat Mixte des Mobilités de l'Aire Grenobloise) offer special discounted tickets to simplify participant travel.

ALTERNATIVE MOBILITY SOLUTIONS

DOTT - This micromobility service is integrated into the existing mobility ecosystem and complements the current public transportation offerings. Affordable, DOTT electric bikes and scooters are available 24/7, both in downtown Grenoble and in surrounding neighborhoods and municipalities, seamlessly connecting with the public transport network.

CITIZ - Pioneers of car-sharing in France, the local services of the Citiz network are available in over 200 cities with 2,000 shared cars, including more than 200 in the Grenoble area, which boasts one of the highest densities. Citiz cars are accessible for self-service 24/7, providing a safe, comprehensive, and flexible solution available throughout the region.

A 24/7 TAXI SERVICE

In Grenoble Alpes, taxi services are available 24/7. The Grenoble Taxis network (G7 partners) offers 107 vehicles, providing services tailored to the needs of professionals, such as bilingual reception, pickups at the train station or airport, transfers to hotels, and the option to book via the eCab app.

During major events with hundreds of participants, the Convention Bureau and the Grenoble Taxis work closely together to ensure an optimal level of service for attendees.

COACH AND SHUTTLE SERVICES: TAILORED OFFERS

The Grenoble Alpes region offers a diverse range of coach services. Several companies provide coach rental services with drivers for group transportation and business travel. These operators also offer shuttles to airports, as well as private transfers to the ski resorts in the area.
